Dear City Clubbers,

I just got back from presenting scholarship checks to the folks at Southeastern. One of the outstanding recipients will soon appear in the local paper with Kirk and me. There goes her good reputation!

Anyway, the first half of the year is almost gone. It's been a great year so far, and there are more surprises to come for the second half. The Magical Mystery Tour scheduled for December 9 th has been postponed to a later date. Because there are so many holiday functions at this time of the year, we decided to give this function a fair shake by pushing it on into January.

Next up is the Christmas Brunch. This function will be held at Tope La on Sunday December 19 th from 11:00am to 1:00pm. This function will be buffet style and Jimmy Hebert has graciously reserved the entire restaurant for our use. While there will be a cash bar for specialty wine and cocktails, Champagne, Mimosas and Bloody Mary's will be complimentary.

And now, the moment we've all been waiting for.

Go here to RSVP for the Christmas Brunch. ("Number of Guest" space on site does not include you or your spouse. If you and your spouse are attending, put 2 in the space provided. If the two of you are having guest, be sure to count person separately. I know this seems a bit obvious, but you'd be surprised at the number of calls I'll get on this.)   Surf around for a while. If you can't figure it out, e-mail me (bardcoj@i-55.com) or Hart (hart@i-55.com) for help.

Give us your thoughts and ideas on the website. Monthly maintenance will be performed and notes of interest and photos can be added at this time. Got something that you want to share with the club? Send it in and we will get it on to the site.

For those of you who do not use the web, rest assured that you can still contact Marsha @ Bill Hood (985) 345-1590 Ext.0 to RSVP. However, the club's goal is that by 2006, all club communications will be handled via the net.

Happy Holidays,

Johnny B.
